Looking for a land tour that's different? Want it to be just what you want in the Mackay Finch Hatton Eungella area? Only want to see and do the things that interest you? Don't want to be told to hurry up? Then this is the tour for you!
If you want to tour around Mackay city and beaches, go to Sarina and learn about sugar, walk through Finch Hatton Gorge to swim in the pools at the bottom of the waterfalls with a walk through Eungella National Park or perhaps just learn about the platypus and spot one in the wild at Broken River then you can. You are the maker of this adventure tour and you design it for your needs and wants and if that means spending a lot of time at one place or multiple places and not told to hurry up then this is the tour for you.
Perhaps walking trails are your thing so why not design your land tour to mainly feature walks in the rainforest at Finch Hatton Gorge and/or Broken River both are in Eungella National Park. Or walk around Art Deco buildings and a hand painted history wall in Mackay and take your pic with your special year. Maybe you would like to learn about sugar so include a trip to Sarina Sugar Shed with taste testing products at the end of the tour and a stop at Dalrymple Bay look out for view of one of the largest coal harbours on the way then we will.
You might have something else totally in mind that you want to see and do then it is possible, just ask. You can change your mind on the day by adding or removing any part of the tour nothing is impossible or too hard. There is so much you could see and do, the choice is yours.
Choose your pick-up time from 7.30am with a coffee to start your day while we go over what you want to see and perhaps even tell you of things that you don't know and might want to see.
As a suggestion you could do a mini tour of Mackay then to the Pioneer Valley stopping at Dame Nelly Melba's house, our very own Australian world famous opera singer. Continue further into the Valley and cane fields and if in season cane harvesting and carting then to Finch Hatton Gorge walking to Araluen and Wheel of Fire waterfalls then have a dip in the clear pools to cool off. The choice is yours!
Lunch is included but it is not a set menu or set venue. Allergies and intolerances catered for.
After lunch drive to Eungella for breath taking views from Goodes lookout over the Pioneer Valley then Sky Window for a different perspective of the Valley.
Next stop, Broken River to learn about the platypus and watch them in their natural habitat. You receive a 30 minute platypus education learning all the fun things about them and practical tips on how to spot them so that you can find one to watch and admire while it eats and plays. 98% of people who see a platypus in the wild see them here.
This is just a suggestion as you might want to do something else entirely different and that is fine. You can also add to your experience with a trip to Cape Hillsbourogh to see kanagroos on the beach (earlier start time so earlier finish if not an added extra). You can even be picked up and do a part of your tour then get dropped off at your accommodation in the Pioneer Valley, Finch Hatton, Eungella, Broken River and then get picked up to finish your tour and returned to Mackay. If this is something you would like or are considering then just ask. You can even do a half day upon request or add in a dive in the rainforest.
This is a personal private tour and we take a minimum of 1 and maximum of 6.
To make your experince a lasting memory we take pictures throughout the tour and create an album of your own on our Facebook page at no extra cost, then send you a link to your album. Due to limited days and times bookings are by phone or email.
